Wow! What a day. Awesome helpers both Adult and young people. Thank you.
We had a lot of fun and making their own pizzas was a wonderful hit with the kids.
We had rain, but it did not rain on the children’s enthusiasm. They were enthusiastic from the start. They came with having fun in mind. What ever the challenge they attacked it with gusto. They even took the challenges further and worked together as a large group without us asking them too.
The Bunny picture hunt went over well. They ran outside in the rain and ran back with a picture, some of which were soaking wet and the numbers on the back were almost washed off. They worked together with some of the boys showing the younger kids where to find the bunny pictures and trade them in for tiny little chocolate eggs.
I had fun just keeping up with them. We ran out of time before we could do everything on the list. That is a good thing. They did however have time to plant the flowers to take home to their moms.To bring a little ‘Spring forward’ into their homes.
The relays were a challenge even for me. The balloon pumps broke and the kids had to resort to blowing up the balloons as far as they could before either breaking them or letting them go and fly through the air. Sometimes they would slow down the opponent they were racing against. 🙂
They danced while playing hot potato and did push ups if they dropped the eggs. 😀 they picked the what if”s they felt you needed to do. And yes I can do two mens’ pushups. I haven’t been able to do any in months. So that was fun for me. They zigged and zagged during the egg and spoon race. And huffed and puffed somemore trying to blow up mini beach balls. They were co-operative and noisey. But then one cannot expect 16 children to be quiet can we. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
This was an awesome day. 🙂
